New, and live at both our schools

Email on your school's own address.

principal@yourschool.in, not a personal Gmail. Infoiles Mail gives your teachers and office a proper school email address, and they sign in with the same username and password they already use for Infoiles Ed.

Staff at our schools: Mail is under Apps in Infoiles Ed's sidebar.

What it does

Everything a school office expects from email.

The parts you would expect from any email, and a few you only need in a school.

Your school's own domain

Addresses end in your school's domain, such as @yourschool.in. We set up the records that let Gmail and other services check that an email really came from your school.

One login, with Ed

Staff sign in with their Infoiles Ed username and password. Mail, Drive and Docs sit under Apps in Ed's sidebar, and signing out of one signs you out of all of them.

Groups for staff and classes

Write to all staff, all students or one class in one go, for example class-10-a@yourschool.in. Only staff can send to a group.

Students write only inside the school

When students are added, their accounts can only email people at the school, unless the school decides otherwise.

Send later, or take it back

Schedule an email for Monday morning, undo a send within seconds, flag what matters, ask to be reminded later, and set an out-of-office reply for the holidays.

Attachments without the bounce

Attach files up to 25 MB, or send a bigger one as a link from Infoiles Drive so it never clogs anyone's inbox.

Why it matters

A school address belongs to the school, not to the teacher.

Many schools run on teachers' personal Gmail and WhatsApp. It works, until someone leaves, or a parent cannot tell a real message from a fake one.

The school decides

The address sits on the school's own domain, not in someone's personal account, so the school decides what happens to it.

Parents know it is really you

An email from @yourschool.in, checked by the records we set up, is far harder to fake than a free address anyone can create.

No outside accounts

Mail runs on our own servers. Nobody needs a Google or Microsoft account, and there is no advertising.

One login for the day

Fees and attendance in Ed, email in Mail, files in Drive: one username, one sidebar and one number to call.

Three apps, one login

Mail, Drive and Docs work together.

Attach a file from Drive, open a Word attachment in Docs, and sign in once for all three with your Infoiles Ed login.

Good to know

Before you ask.

Works in the browser on a computer or a phone. Mail apps such as Outlook or the iPhone's Mail app cannot connect to it yet.

Space is per person and shared with Drive: 3 GB for staff and 5 GB for the principal and administrators, unless your school asks us for different amounts.

Parents keep their own email. They write to the school's addresses from it, as they do today; they do not get school mailboxes.

For schools on Infoiles Ed. Mail signs in with your Infoiles Ed accounts, so it comes with Ed rather than on its own.

Tell us your school's domain and roughly how many staff you have, and we will tell you exactly what setting it up involves.
